Terms of Service

 

These terms and conditions are not in legal-eze so you can actually understand them. A complete and formal Terms and Conditions document will be supplied to you at the scheduled service call.

 

Services: Nerd and Son will attempt to diagnose and fix your problem for an applicable fee. In some cases we may not be able to diagnose or fix your problem due to problems with your computer or its configuration that are beyond our control.

 

We may need to take your PC back to our facilities or make a return service call if your problem is extensive.

 

We also reserve the right to refrain from providing any or all services on the basis that minimum system requirements are not met or the technical needs or other requirements of the customer are unusual or extensive.

 

User Responsibility: It is your responsibility to backup your data and/or software prior to service. Nerd and Son is not responsible for any loss or corruption of data and/or software.

 

Any hardware/software needed must be purchased and supplied by you unless part of a package.

 

ISP/Internet connection must be activated and working properly prior to any related install.

 

You must provide adequate power and space for the scheduled service, including power cords and surge protectors.

 

You must have available all legally licensed software and product keys that may be required, including Operating System or recovery discs provided by your computer manufacturer.

 

Adult Must Be Present: A person of at least 18 years of age must be present for the duration of the service call or services may be denied and a $50 fee accessed.

 

Release of Liability: We are not responsible for ANY damages related to the services we provide.

 

Changes and Cancellations: You may change/cancel your appointment if you give Nerd and Son at least 2 hours notice prior to the scheduled service call. Changes and cancellations must be completed by calling (845)926-0513. Failure to cancel within this time period may result in a $50 cancellation charge.

 

Service Warranty: Nerd and Son warranties our workmanship for a period of 30 days from the service date. This includes issues with the configured installation as performed by Nerd and Son. Nerd and Son is not responsible for issues due to setting changes, new software upgrades, ISP connection issues, relocation, virus/spyware issues, or misuse. Additional trips not covered by the warranty will be subject to charges.
